The mini destroyer has 'holographic' effect, so the price won't drop to 20K

I sold mine for personal reason (well... I was broke)

I haggled for higher price than normal (Tonberries like doing that)

the copy i picked up (i'm in singapore) says "foreign" and goes for 4.99usd (wahahaha @ price). so i'm guessing other countries will get it as well.

as for contents, here's what i posted in another thread:

1) Destroyer code is printed on a page somewhere towards the end. 1 pet/ account. prices are absolutely insane now. sold both of mine for an obscene profit. definitely will buy 1 back later.

2) Almost 1/2 of the magazine features concept art. Many breathtaking pieces. A pity that many 2-page art cannot be scanned properly though, because they aren't printed on pull-outs.

3) A EOTN walkthru up till Great Destroyer. About 2-3 pages on heroes. Meh.

4) A section on Charr history. my eyes glazed by the 2nd column really.

5) A PVP primer. hm.

6) The prologue lore for GW2. Not going to post any spoilers here, but this section had the most interesting writeup.. It describes the fate of Tyria, Cantha, Elona as well as what happened to races that we've met in EOTN, post-EOTN and pre-GW2. The lore bridges up the storyline for all campaigns and leads up to the premise of GW2. You get a clarification of the destroyer cutscene after beating the EOTN boss. Basically the whole section acts like a xxx-years later epilogue to EOTN/ prologue to GW2. Very interesting reading, though I was a bit depressed by some bits of the tale.

7) Finally, you'll also get a teaser of how the bonus mission pack is supposed to work. It also hints at how future content for GW1 may be like.

There're also some references to a cancelled 4th campaign called Utopia, and some art related to that. Not sure if it's new but I have never heard of it.

First:
1 - Who are you to tell me that if I need a guide to play the game I should unistall it? I got offended by your quote, sorry but not everyone is good as you at this game!
A guide would help me to navigate the game a bit faster and better.

See how different we are I don't care much about the mini-pet!

I only hope it [the special edition of the magazine] will be available in Australia ......the PC Gamer is, so my hope is high.

Trielementz pretty much summed it up.

Teh best concept art is this certain one of Melandru....simply breathtaking. I prefer it over the current AoM.

You don't buy the mini-pet. You buy the MAGAZINE. The mini's a freebie, like the secret toy surprise in every box of Cracker-Jack

This is sooooo cool, thank you for the heads up! My one dream minipet is Vizu, as my main is female Assassin who often wares Seitung armor for farming, so Vizu is the closest I'll ever get to a minime =o) Up until this news, there were only 26 Vizu's in the whole freakin' world! Selling for mad prices like 1000 ectos (and I am sure this in NO WAY encourages online gold purchases *sarcasm*).

But wait a tick.... *scans list*

NO AUSTRALIA!!! AGAIN!!!

Thanks heaps anet, seriously... Nice to know my AU$400 spent on all 3x Collectors Editions + EotN + Pre-orders etc is appreciated by you guys... You claim to be 'balanced' etc, yet you nerf a farm that has casual players making an extra 10k for the week, but you give away for FREE something that people can charge 1000 ectos for? Nice going, and to think I constantly defend you guys...

Is it possible to unlock more than one mini destroyer on one account? A friend of mine gets all of these kind of magazines, but doesn't play GW. Might as well use it if I can.

I got myself a copy of the magazine today.

Other than for the GW2 lore, it's not so great.

In the GW:EN walkthrough guide, the build they recommend for Pyre has:

Barrage + Read the Wind...

Edit:

Thought I'd also mention that the Pyre build also includes Healing Breeze and Orison of Healing.
Same goes for their Jora build.

You should skip to the end of that. Though it doesn't extend all the way into GW2, the history does extend beyond the GW:EN timeline, helping more to explain the state the Charr will be in mean we meet up with them again in GW2.

I found the GW2 lore mildly interesting. At least the GW:EN end-game dragon got revealed.

Oh, and for those interested, the canceled Utopia had a heavy "mesoamerica" feel to it. Think Mayans, Incans, etc..

@Metal If its anything like the previous magazine minis, then no. Multiple codes won't give you more mini-destroyers after you get the first one.

So basically, us people who've paid the exact same money, if not more, to play Guild Wars get shafted again? Or is there a plan to release a similar magazine over here too?
